About BACCI

Ballina Arts & Crafts Centre Inc. (BACCI) was created in 1998, primarily to provide and promote a friendly meeting place for artists and craft people from Ballina and surrounding districts.

BACCI is an eclectic group of local artisans who enjoy exhibiting their art forms in a group show. This, of course, also gives members the opportunity to sell their work.

BACCI members range from hobbyists to those known internationally. The creative variety in the group includes painting (all mediums), woodwork, photography, weaving, sculpture, resin art, ceramics, silk art, jewellery, beading and many more unique crafts.

We usually have three major exhibitions a year, including one at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery (NRCG). Every exhibition is an exciting event and it is a joy witnessing what wonderful new pieces other members are showing.

BACCI is a non-profit organisation that regularly fund raises for worthwhile local community organisations. From our exhibitions (except for the NRRG show) we support a new charity or group by donating a percentage of exhibition profits.

BACCI is very proud to have contributed a significant amount of money towards the purchase of the Northern Rivers Community Gallery, which opened in 2007.

A monthly newsletter provides members with information about upcoming exhibitions, special events, social activities . It also features a BACCI member artists profile.

Are you creative? We invite you to join our group and show your creations with other like-minded people. BACCI is a warm and friendly group. It is a learning environment too, so much can be learnt just by chatting with other members.

We currently have about 60 members.

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at Cherry Street Sports Club, Ballina at 5pm.
