As a child I loved painting and when I reached my teens went to classes outside school hours on Saturday to the Sydney College of Art at Darlinghurst.

In latter years after travelling and living overseas, including Mexico, London, and India I started painting with Oil.  Scenery, and still life were the usual until I developed an interest in Portraits.

My teacher said it could be 3 months of painting noses, eyes, ears etc and I said “well I’m here to learn”.

My  friends were the subjects and many were so happy they bought them.

After moving back to Australia, as a single mother with 2 children it was many years before I took up painting after moving to Noosa.

Some years later on the Gold Coast I joined RQAS  (Royal Queensland Art Society) group.  We generally painted in a group and there was an exhibition change over once a month where we could show our art.

Now in Ballina I have joined BACCI to get to know other like minded people interested in Arts and Crafts.
